Equipment

  •  lage glass

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup chilled strong brewed coffee preferably cold brew for a smoother taste
  • 1/4 cup half-and-half for a creamy texture
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar adjust to taste, for a hint of sweetness
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup adjust to taste for desired sweetness
  • 1 cup ice cubes for chilling and thickening the drink
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract optional, for enhanced flavor depth
  • Whipped cream optional, for garnish and extra creaminess
  • Chocolate shavings or unsweetened cocoa powder optional, for garnish and added richness.

Instructions

Step 1: Brew Your Coffee

  • Start with a strong cup of coffee. I prefer cold brew for its smoothness, but regular brewed coffee works too. Just make sure it’s chilled before you use it. Pour about 3/4 cup into a suitable glass.

Step 2: Mix the Ingredients

  • In the same glass, add 1/4 cup of half-and-half, followed by 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar. Next, drizzle in 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup. For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir until everything is well combined.

Step 3: Add Ice

  • The next step is crucial: fill your glass to the brim with ice cubes. This keeps the mocha cold and thickens the drink.

Step 4: Garnish

  • If you want to take your iced mocha to the next level, top it off with a generous dollop of whipped cream. You can even sprinkle some chocolate shavings on top for that extra flair.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy

  • Grab your favorite straw, find a comfy spot, and enjoy your homemade Jack in the Box Iced Mocha Coffee!

Notes

  • Adjust Sweetness: Depending on your taste, feel free to add more or less sugar and chocolate syrup.
  • Dairy Alternatives: If you’re lactose intolerant or prefer non-dairy options, oat milk or almond milk can replace half-and-half.
  • Coffee Strength: Choosing a stronger coffee will give you a more potent flavor. Savor it as you sip.
  • Chill Your Ingredients: Using cold ingredients (ice, coffee, half-and-half) leads to better flavor blending and a refreshing experience.
  • Experiment: Don’t hesitate to try different syrups. Hazelnut or caramel can provide unique twists on the classic mocha flavor.
